RECOMMENDED BOARD ACTION:                     

                     Receive information on the Certificate of Appropriateness process in McKinney.

 

ITEM SUMMARY: 

                     Staff facilitates a series of trainings on city services, programs, and best practices related to Historic Preservation programs.

                     Staff will offer training and/or retraining to the board members on the use of development tools available to the Board and the public. This month, staff will specifically address the Certificate of Appropriateness process. This process is required for any new development, redevelopment, restoration, alteration, relocation, or demolition on any property that is visible from the public right-of-way located within the Historic Overlay District.
