RECOMMENDED ACTION:
• Staff recommends the Community Grants Advisory Commission (CGAC) receive and file the onboarding training.
ITEM SUMMARY:
• The CGAC will receive onboarding training that will include parliamentary procedures, conflicts of interest, and grant review participation.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• The CGAC was established for the purpose of advising the City Council on Community Development Block Grant and Community Support Grant funding for the city.
• The onboarding training will include parliamentary procedures, conflicts of interest, and grant review participation. In addition, the following administrative items will be covered:
o Oath of Office
o Introduction of Committee and Staff
o Role as a Grant Reviewer
o Feedback from Members
o Database Review
o Conflict of Interest
o Preparations for Upcoming Public Hearings and Processes
o Q & A
