RECOMMENDED ACTION:
* Approval of the Resolution
ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract and all necessary change orders with C. Green Scaping, LP of Ft. Worth, Texas for the construction of the McKinney Light Walk at Towne Lake Park (PK 4393) for a total contract amount not to exceed $2,155,000.00.
* City staff worked with LJA Engineering, Inc. on preparing the construction plans and specifications as needed for project bidding.
* Staff, along with LJA Engineering, Inc. support, recommends awarding the construction bid to C. Green Scaping, LP in an amount of $2,052,100.80 along with a $102,899.20 contingency for a total not to exceed amount of $2,155,000.00.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* The proposed project will include constructing The McKinney Light Walk at Towne Lake Park, a trail system throughout the wooded area south of the pond that will be complete with decorative lighting to enhance and amplify the experience.
* This is the first of several projects that are being implemented under the new Towne Lake Master Plan.
