RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:                     

                     Approval of the Resolution

 

ITEM SUMMARY: 

                     This resolution authorizes the formal rejection of all Statements of Qualifications under Solicitation 26-43RFQ Real Estate Development Services.

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: 

                     The City issued a solicitation (26-43RFQ) for Real Estate Development Services on May 1, 2026, for the development of the Community Land Trust project on Lake Forest Drive on behalf of the McKinney Housing Finance Corporation.

o                     580 matching supplier notifications

                     Out of 580 supplier notifications, two (2) statements of qualifications (SOQs) were received on May 21, 2026.

                     After the evaluation committee completed review of the SOQs, neither submission met the minimum threshold of seventy (70) points to be considered for contract award.

                     Housing and Community Development has been advised to reject all submissions and rebid this project. Procurement Services will work with the department to issue a new solicitation for this project.
