ITEM SUMMARY:
• This Resolution confirms the City of McKinney’s support for the new location of Spur 399, the concurrent designation of Spur 399 and State Highway 5, and the concurrent designation of FM 546 and State Highway 5.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) has completed the environmental impact evaluation for the new Spur 399 project that provides a connection from State Highway 5 to US 380/University Drive around the east side of McKinney National Airport. This resolution provides TxDOT with the concurrence needed to continue moving forward with the design and construction of the Spur 399 project. TxDOT’s goal is to start construction of this project in 2026.
