RECOMMENDED COUNCIL ACTION:
* Staff is recommending approval of the Master Plan amendment.

ITEM SUMMARY:
* The Parks and Recreation Department is currently working towards CAPRA accreditation, which is the Commission for Accreditation of Parks and Recreation Agencies. This is the only national accreditation for park and recreation organizations and the accreditation is a valuable measure of an organization's overall quality of operations, management, and service to the community. This accreditation demonstrates that the Parks and Recreation Department is providing McKinney with the highest level of service.
