RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approval of Resolution

ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract in the amount of $703,830.00, as well as all required supplemental agreements thereto, with Pape - Dawson Engineers, LLC for professional consulting engineering services for the East McKinney Drainage Study and Street Rehabilitation Project (DR2224 and ST2224), for a total aggregate contract amount, inclusive of any supplemental agreements, not to exceed $790,000.00.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* The city plans to enter into an agreement with TxDOT to upgrade the storm system along SH 5 from FM 546 / Harry McKillop Boulevard to US 380 to be constructed concurrent with the planned reconstruction of SH 5 by TxDOT. Due to the future agreement with TxDOT to upgrade the storm sewer, a study is needed east of SH 5 to evaluate the capacity of the existing pipes and determine the size of the future storm system.
* Improvements to existing roads and alleys in the vicinity of the drainage study will also be needed based on the age of pavement.
* The FY24-28 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) includes funding for East McKinney Drainage Study and Street Rehabilitation.
* Street rehabilitation includes Finch Avenue and McMakin Street from S McDonald Street to Amscott Street.
