RECOMMENDED ACTION:
* Approval of the Resolution

ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract and all necessary change orders with A&C Construction, Inc. of Irving, Texas for the construction of the Erwin Park Improvements (PK 9143) for a total contract amount not to exceed $10,800,983.

* The proposed improvements to Erwin Park will include the removal of the existing restrooms and pavilions, the construction of underground utilities to new restroom and shower facilities, a maintenance building, new pavilions, an overlook structure, an enhanced park entry, concrete-paved parking lots, road resurfacing, a concrete looped hike and bike trail, and campsite utilities.

* City staff worked with Teague Nall and Perkins, INC on preparing the construction plans and specifications as needed for project bidding.

* Staff, along with Teague Nall and Perkins, INC support, recommends awarding the construction bid to A&C Construction, Inc. in an amount of $10,088,000.00 along with a $712,983.00 contingency for a total not to exceed amount of $10,800,983.00.
