ITEM SUMMARY: 

                     Heritage Guild of Collin County has submitted a grant request, in the amount of $50,000 to replace the chimney on the Faires House and to replace porches, stairs and ramps on six historic buildings in Chestnut Square

                     Buildings include Dulaney House, Dulaney Cottage, Chapel, Dixie’s Store, Faires House, and Johnson House.

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: 

                     The mission of Heritage Guild of Collin County is to celebrate community, preserve history and inspire the future.

                     HGCC was organized more than 40 years ago.

                     HGCC supports Chestnut Square Historic Village - a museum and tourist destination in McKinney offering diverse programs and activities throughout the year.

 

FINANCIAL SUMMARY:

                     Funds allocated for MCDC discretionary Project Grants for FY23 total $2,177,223.00, and $74,885.50 in discretionary funds remain.

 

                     Additional funds are available via budget transfer.

                     The request is eligible for MCDC consideration under Section 505.152 of the Texas Local Government Code.
