RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approve Resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes a contract with Lee Engineering, LLC to provide professional engineering services to design new traffic signals at the following locations:
* Bloomdale Road and Hardin Boulevard
* Bloomdale Road and Community Avenue
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* Staff continuously monitors traffic volumes at intersections throughout the City. Based on these evaluations, the project intersections have been identified as meeting the requirements for traffic signal warrants or will meet the warrants in the immediate near future.
* Lee Engineering, LLC submitted a response to RFQ 24-14 for Traffic Signal Design. They were one of four firms shortlisted by City Council on March 5, 2024.
* Lee Engineering, LLC submitted a proposal for this project in the amount of $122,337.00. Their scope includes the following elements:
* Preliminary Engineering Services,
* Final Design Services, and
* Special Services which include:
* Surveying for design,
* ROW/ESMT Documentation
* Geotechnical Engineering
* Structural Engineering
* Construction Administration Services
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes a design contract and any necessary supplemental agreements with Lee, Engineering, LLC for an amount not to exceed $135,000.
