APPROVAL PROCESS: The recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Commission will be forwarded to the City Council at the November 5, 2024 meeting.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of this item.
ITEM SUMMARY:
* As required by Chapter 9 (Implementation) of the Plan, staff has conducted a periodic review to consider Plan amendments or refinements based on experiences implementing the plan and external changes in the economy, demographics, technology, or other factors.
* An amendment to the Master Thoroughfare Plan incorporating the 380 Corridor and other associated roadway alignments was adopted by City Council in December 2023.
* As a result, the primary focus of the currently proposed amendments is to update the Preferred Scenario to incorporate the final alignment of these roadways into the Land Use Diagram and Individual District Strategies.
* Additionally, these amendments address changes to the Professional Center placetype in the Business and Aviation District and other clarifying changes and addressing other minor and non-substantive errors and typos.
PROPOSED AMENDMENTS
