RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:                     

                     Staff recommends approval of the proposed rezoning request, with the following special ordinance provision:

 

1.                     The subject property be developed according to “BG” - General Business District regulations.

 

ITEM SUMMARY: 

                     The applicant is requesting to rezone approximately 1.50 acres of land, located on the northwest corner of U.S. Highway 380 (University Drive) and Graves Street from “PD” - Planned Development District to “BG” - General Business District.  The purpose of the rezoning request is to remove the layout tied to the governing planned development district ordinance (PD 2004-09-102).

 

BOARD OR COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION:

                     On July 13, 2010, the Planning and Zoning Commission voted 6-0 to recommend approval of the proposed rezoning request as conditioned by Staff.
