RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:                     

                     Approval of the ordinance.

 

ITEM SUMMARY: 

                     This is a budget amendment for Erwin Park to allow for additional resources to design the planned improvements to the park.

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: 

                     An accompanying Resolution for a design contract is also on this agenda for City Council approval.

 

FINANCIAL SUMMARY: 

                     This Ordinance amends the Fiscal Year 2022-2023 Annual Budget and the 2023-2027 Capital Improvements Program by transferring $791,500 from the Parkland Dedication Fund - Zone 1 to the Parks Construction Fund and appropriating the funds into the Erwin Park Improvement Project PK9143.

 

                     With this amendment, the total project budget will increase from $695,053 to $1,486,553.

 

                     Upon approval of the accompanying design contract, $542,583.83 will remain in project PK9143.

 

BOARD OR COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: This project was reviewed by the Parks, Recreation & Open Space Advisory Board on June 8, 2023, as part of the annual CIP overview discussion.
