RECOMMENDED ACTION:
• Approval of the Recommendation.
ITEM SUMMARY:
• The proposed improvements to Grady Littlejohn will include a new concession and restroom building, improved spectator seating areas with shade, reconstructed walking paths, and new pavement throughout the complex.
• On April 2nd, the City of McKinney received bids for this project. Staff will provide an update at the Board meeting with a recommended construction contractor and price.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• LJA Engineering recently completed the design of these improvements.
• The new construction of the restroom and concession building is necessary due to a fire, which resulted in a total loss at the Grady Littlejohn Softball & Baseball Complex.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• This project (PK2448) is a FY25-26 Capital Improvements Program funded by issued bonds and parkland dedication funds.
