RECOMMENDED ACTION:                     

 

                     Approval of the Recommendation.

 

ITEM SUMMARY: 

 

                     The proposed improvements to Grady Littlejohn will include a new concession and restroom building, improved spectator seating areas with shade, reconstructed walking paths, and new pavement throughout the complex.

 

                     On April 2nd, the City of McKinney received bids for this project. Staff will provide an update at the Board meeting with a recommended construction contractor and price. 

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: 

 

                     LJA Engineering recently completed the design of these improvements.

 

                     The new construction of the restroom and concession building is necessary due to a fire, which resulted in a total loss at the Grady Littlejohn Softball & Baseball Complex.

 

FINANCIAL SUMMARY: 

 

                     This project (PK2448) is a FY25-26 Capital Improvements Program funded by issued bonds and parkland dedication funds.
