ITEM SUMMARY:
* On Tuesday, August 24, the McKinney City Council will appoint members to the various city Boards & Commissions. Unless noted otherwise, those appointed will serve terms effective October 1, 2021-September 30, 2023.
* For consideration, interested individuals (including incumbent members with terms expiring in 2021) must complete an application and participate in an interview.
* The deadline to apply is Friday June 18, 2021. Apply online at https://mckinney.granicus.com/boards/apply. Incumbent board members should use the email address on file to update their existing application.
* Interviews will be conducted in July / August (schedule to be determined)
* Prior to October 1, new and reappointed members must complete Board Member Orientation conducted by the Board and / or Office of the City Secretary (schedule to be determined)

* Every year, approximately half of all McKinney Boards & Commissions appointments expire, with those vacancies filled by City Council vote.
