RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approval of the Resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a professional services agreement with Parkhill, Smith & Cooper, Inc. to provide architectural and engineering (A/E) services in conjunction with the Master Site Planning Project.
* The selected architectural and Engineering consultant team, Parkhill, Smith & Cooper, Inc. submitted a proposal to provide a master site planning study for the project.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* On January 20th, the City Council approved the purchase of 111 acre site on the east side of Lake Forest Road just north of Bloomdale Road. The intended uses of this site include a multigenerational recreation center, water pumping station public works and other civic uses. In order to maximize the use of the site in the most efficient way possible taking into consideration environmental, traffic, parking, site circulation, utilities, future expansion, phasing emergency access, open space, and other best development practices, the development of an overall master plan for the site is necessary.
