ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes an award of contract and allows the City Manager to enter into a contract with Roper's LLC dba Roper's Wrecker Service of McKinney, Texas to provide Towing Services for the McKinney Police Department.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* The City issued Request for Proposals, 24-62RFP to solicit proposals from Respondents capable of satisfying the McKinney Police Department's need for towing services.
* The RFP was issued on July 14, 2024
o Advertised in McKinney Courier Gazette
o Posted on McKinney TV
o 138 matching eBid supplier notifications which included ten (10) Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) suppliers
* In response to all notices published, five (5) proposals bids were received on August 29, 2024, from the following Respondents:
o 1st Choice Towing & Recovery LLC
o Big Bass Towing-Lindy Lott Wrecker
o Jordan Towing, Inc.
o Roper's Wrecker Service
o Signature Towing Inc.
* An evaluation team comprised of staff from the Police Department, Fleet Services, and Procurement Services reviewed and scored the responses based on the following criteria:
o 40 Points - Price
o 20 Points - Qualifications
o 10 Points - References
o 15 Points - Adequacy of Storage Facility
o 15 Points - Adequacy of Equipment List
