ITEM SUMMARY:
• The City of McKinney and the McKinney Community Development Corporation are serving a community partner again for the second year, to encourage residents across the city to participate in this event on April 18, 2026, at Old Settlers Recreation Center from 9 AM to 3 PM. Activities include a Kids Zone, information booths, workshops, health screening and more. Local department participants include Code Services, Planning and Housing & Community Development.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• The National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB) conducts National Community Wealth Building Day (often held in April) as a nationwide, 100+ city initiative, designed to bridge the homeownership gap and build generational wealth. It features local workshops, financial literacy sessions, and on-site experts.
