RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
• Staff recommends the City Council approve the proposed ordinance.
ITEM SUMMARY:
• This ordinance amends the Fiscal Year 2026-2027 Annual Budget and the 2027-2031 Capital Improvements Program to provide additional funds to construct a right turn lane along Spur 399 with the SH 5 TxDOT Local Contributions Project (Project ST2136).
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• The City has entered into a facilities agreement with Magnolia Ranch Partners, LP for the addition of a right turn lane along Spur 399 to be constructed with TxDOT’s current project along Spur 399 and SH 5.
• An accompanying Resolution for an Amendment to the Advance Funding Agreement (AFA) with TxDOT is also on this agenda for City Council approval.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• The budget shall be amended by appropriating $478,320 from a developer contribution held in the Street Construction Fund escrow account to the Capital Improvement Program for the SH 5 TxDOT Local Contributions Project (Project ST2136).
• Upon approval of this item, $884,933 will remain in the project.
