* Approval of Resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract in the amount of $599,600 as well as all required supplemental agreements thereto, with Teague, Nall, and Perkins, Inc. for professional consulting engineering services for the Bloomdale Road and Spur 195 Realignment Project (ST4229), for a total aggregate contract amount, inclusive of any supplemental agreements, not to exceed $670,000.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* Bloomdale Rd is currently a two-lane undivided arterial from Redbud Blvd to State Highway 5 and is currently identified as a six-lane principal arterial (P6D) in the adopted Master Thoroughfare Plan.
* The FY25-26 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) includes funding for the expansion of Bloomdale Road from 2-lanes to a 4-lane divided throughfare including establishment of a new intersection of former FM 543 (currently identified as Spur 195) to allow Bloomdale Road to have a more direct connection to State Highway 5.
* The plan is to construct Bloomdale Road from approximately 300 feet west of the proposed roundabout to State Highway (SH) No. 5.
