RECOMMENDED BOARD ACTION:
• Receive an update on the Historic Resources Survey.
ITEM SUMMARY:
• Staff will provide an update on the work completed to date and review the team’s next steps.
BACKGROUND:
• The city entered a contract with Hicks & Company Environmental/Archeological Consultants to conduct a survey of the historic resources in the historically significant area of McKinney in June of 2023.
• Per the approved scope, the project has 6 major tasks:
Task 1. Public Outreach (June 2023 - February 2024) ONGOING
Task 2. Background & Research (June 2023 - July 2023) COMPLETE
Task 3. Research Design & Methodology (June 2023 - August 2023) COMPLETE
Task 4. Field Survey (August 2023 - October 2023) UNDERWAY
Task 5. Data Management and Survey Forms (October 2023)
Task 6. Survey Report Drafting and Finalization (November 2023 - February 2024)
