RECOMMENDED BOARD ACTION:
• Receive an update on the Municipal Complex exhibit project.
ITEM SUMMARY:
• Staff will provide an update on the Municipal Complex exhibit project that the Board submitted information and photographs for in the spring.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• On April 3, 2025, Assistant City Manager Barry Shelton presented information about ongoing preservation and history related projects at the McKinney Municipal Complex, as requested by the Historic Preservation Advisory Board in previous meetings.
• On May 1, 2025, the Board met to discuss as a group the exhibit project that was established in the April meeting. The exhibit project proposed in the breezeway area was that of a timeline of the history of McKinney.
• Planning and Communications staff have worked to create exhibit panels based on the information provided by the Board. This update is to explain how the information is being used and next steps.
