RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
• Approval of Ordinance.
ITEM SUMMARY:
• The budget shall be amended by appropriating $274,121 of escrow funds received from McKinney 380 North Rental MF LTD in the Street Construction Fund for the Capital Improvement Program US 380 and Fort Buckner Traffic Signal Project (TR2556).
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• The escrow money was provided by McKinney 380 North Rental MF LTD for one-half of the construction costs of this traffic signal on US 380 (University Drive) approximately 2000’ west of Hardin Blvd
• The traffic signal design was completed by the developer as part of the site permit.
• The traffic signal is scheduled to begin construction in May 2026 and construction is scheduled to be completed later this year.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• The budget shall be amended by appropriating $274,121 of escrow funds received from McKinney 380 North Rental MF LTD in the Street Construction Fund for the Capital Improvement Program US 380 and Fort Buckner Traffic Signal Project (TR2556).
• With this amendment, the total budget for the US 380 and Fort Buckner Traffic Signal project (TR2556) will increase from $330,000 to $604,121.
