RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approval of Resolution

ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract in the amount of $158,700, as well as all required supplemental agreements thereto, with Kimley-Horn for professional consulting engineering services for the 2025 Citywide Traffic Count Program, for a total aggregate contract amount, inclusive of any supplemental agreements, not to exceed $175,000.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* The City of McKinney produces a Citywide traffic count map on a biennial schedule. The development of this map requires the collection of traffic data, data processing and verification, and the population of data tables for import into the City's GIS system.
* The City-wide Traffic Count Program will obtain 24-hour traffic count data for up to 410 locations along arterial roadways and neighborhood collector roadways. This program will also include classification counts in 13 locations along these same roadways. City of McKinney produces a Citywide traffic count map on a biennial schedule.
* Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. was one of six firms selected as part of 24-14RFQ - On-Call Traffic Engineering Services that was approved by City Council on March 5, 2024.
