RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:

                     Adoption of the proposed ordinance.

 

ITEM SUMMARY:

                     Staff is proposing to modify the Section 38-73 of the Code of Ordinances to increase the number of 2-foot by 2-foot signs that may be held at a polling location on city-owned property from one sign to two signs.

 

                     At the October 6, 2025, City Council Work Session, Code Compliance staff gave a presentation regarding the performance of the City’s Electioneering Ordinance including two issues that could be addressed by future ordinance amendments. The City Council provided consensus to modify the number of signs that could be held.
