RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approval of the Resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute an Additional Services Agreement to provide additional professional consulting and owner's representative services related to the construction of the new McKinney Fire Department Headquarters (FDHQ) located at 2100 Taylor Burk Drive, McKinney, Texas.
* 720 Design, Inc. has submitted a proposal to provide professional consulting services and owner's representative services for the Fire Department Headquarters for a fee of $220,000.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* 720 Design, Inc. is a professional consulting firm based in Dallas, Texas and has been the Owner's Representative of record on multiple successful City of McKinney projects.
* On April 6, 2021, City Council approved a professional services agreement for 720 Design, Inc. for preconstruction services.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
* The Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute an Additional Services Agreement for professional consulting services and owner's representative services, including potential changes to the scope of services, with 720 Design, Inc. for an amount not to exceed $242,000 which includes a $22,000 contingency.
* Funds for these services are available in the Fire Department Headquarters Project No. FI2111.
