RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
· Approval of the attached Resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
· The scope of work consists of the design for placement of five pedestrian bridges, layout of a segment of hike and bike trail adjacent to Wilson Creek and improvements of two existing drainage channels and three future drainage channels.
· LanArc Design, Inc. has proposed design and engineering services for the design of the Landfill hike and bike trail segment of the Wilson Creek hike and bike trail of $124,800.
· Scope of services:
o Architectural and Engineering $119,800
o Reimbursable Expenses Allowance $ 5,400
o Total $124, 800
· It is recommended that the Council authorize the Interim City Manager to execute a contract with LanArc Design, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $124,800 for design and engineering services for the Landfill hike and bike trail segment of the Wilson Creek hike and bike trail project.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
· This proposed segment will provide a ten-foot wide concrete trail north of Wilson Creek at the base of the closed landfill.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
· The hike and bike trail construction cost will come from the Wilson Creek Hike and Bike Trail Project (PK8062) which is a FY 09-10 Capital Improvements Program funded by General Obligation Bonds.
BOARD OR COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION:
