RECOMMENDED COUNCIL ACTION:
* Consider/discuss proposed amendments to Appendix 2B (McKinney Town Center MTC) of the Zoning Regulations of the Unified Development Code (UDC).
ITEM SUMMARY:
* The purpose of this work session item is to review and discuss anticipated amendments to the Unified Development Code (UDC).
* The proposed amendments would make minor updates and use changes to Appendix 2B of the Unified Development Code (Chapter 150 of the Code of Ordinances), which is being amended so as to be better integrated into the UDC as a whole.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* On April 22, 2013, City Council adopted an ordinance that established the MTC - McKinney Town Center zoning district and adopted the McKinney Town Center Regulating Plan. The MTC zoning district is intended to implement the Town Center Study Phase 1 Report and associated illustrative vision (known together as the "Town Center Master Plan") adopted by City Council in March 2008. It facilitates pedestrian oriented, mixed-use, urban infill redevelopment, providing shopping, employment, housing, and business and personal services.
