RECOMMENDED BOARD ACTION:                     

                     Receive an update on historic preservation programs in McKinney and training on the use of selected interactive map tools.

 

ITEM SUMMARY: 

                     Staff will be facilitating an annual series of trainings on city services, programs, and best practices related to Historic Preservation programs.

                     As the first part in the monthly series, staff will offer training and/or retraining to board members on the use of the development tools available to the Board and the public. This month, staff will specifically address the Development Portal Snapshot tool, Planning Resources Map, and the new Certificate of Appropriateness Map interactive map tool.

                     Staff will provide a brief update on historic preservation programs.
