• The City Council will discuss the Board and Commission policy and appointment procedures and provide direction for potential amendments.
• Proposed amendments from this discussion, if any, will be introduced for Council action at the City Council Regular Meeting of August 18, 2026.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• Board and Commission members are appointed officials who voluntarily serve on various governing bodies within the city with a range of advisory and/or decision-making duties.
• The City Council has the authority to appoint, remove, and replace members.
• The Board and Commission Appointment and Eligibility Policy was last amended in 2022.
