RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION: Staff recommends the City Council close the public hearing and table the item indefinitely per the applicant’s request.
ITEM SUMMARY: The applicant is proposing a specific use permit to allow passenger vehicles fuel sales (7-Eleven) on the Northeast Corner of Wilmeth Road and Taylor-Burk Drive.
Per the UDC criteria, a Specific Use Permit is required to modify or eliminate the following condition: Fuel pump islands shall be located at least 250 feet from a property line of a residential zone or use.

OPPOSITION TO OR SUPPORT OF REQUEST: Staff have received no letters of support or opposition. As part of the Planning and Zoning Commission Public Hearing, Staff has received 56 citizen comments through the online citizen portal. This does not include emails or letters that may have been sent directly to members of the Council.
Staff have also received an official written protest regarding the proposed specific use request on August 27th. As of August 31st, the submitted protest includes signatures from property owners representing 6.6% of the total area within 200 feet of the subject property and does not meet the...
