RECOMMENDED ACTION:
* Approval of the Resolution.

ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract and all necessary change orders with CGC General Contractors Inc., of Haltom City, Texas for the construction of the Grady Littlejohn Complex Improvements (PK 2448) for a total contract amount not to exceed $3,700,000.00.

* City staff worked with LJA Engineering Inc. on preparing the construction plans and specifications as needed for project bidding.

* Staff, along with LJA Engineering Inc. support, recommends awarding the construction bid to CGC General Contractors Inc., in an amount of $3,507,526.77 along with a $175,376.34 contingency for a total not to exceed amount of $3,700,000.00.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* This project will consist of a new concession building/restroom building as well as upgrades to the existing dugouts, walkways, and spectator seating. It will also address drainage and concrete repair.
