RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION: Staff recommends the public hearing continued and the item be tabled to the August 4, 2026 City Council meeting due to a notice error.

ITEM SUMMARY: The applicant requests to rezone approximately 6.821 acres of land, from “ML” -  Light Manufacturing District to “I2” -  Heavy Industrial District to allow for heavy industrial use. 

 

OPPOSITION TO OR SUPPORT OF REQUEST: Staff has received no letters of support to this request and no letters of opposition. This does not include emails or letters that may have been sent directly to members of the Council or Commission.

 

 

BOARD OR COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: On June 23, 2026, the Planning and Zoning Commission voted 7-0-0 to recommend approval of the zoning request.

 

Due to a notification error, the item was returned to the Planning and Zoning Commission for reconsideration. On July 14, 2026, the Planning and Zoning Commission voted 7-0-0 to table the item to the July 28, 2026, Planning and Zoning Commission Meeting.
