• Update on the installation of DTX Airport Mural Installation
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• McKinney National Airport is seeking concept proposals from Texas based artists to create two murals at the new commercial terminal building. We are looking for artwork to be displayed on the interior baggage claim wall, as well as the exterior screening wall. A committee comprised of members of the McKinney Arts Commission and McKinney National Airport will select 10 finalists for an opportunity to refine their concepts based on committee feedback. Artists can submit up to two concepts. The theme of the Airport design is Heritage Modern: design blending traditional, historical charm with clean, contemporary simplicity. Our request requires artwork that highlights the McKinney area for visitors.
