RECOMMENDED COMMISSION ACTION:
* Approve the resolution for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Home Investment Partnerships (HOME) program Annual Action Plan.

ITEM SUMMARY:
* The McKinney City Council will conduct a public hearing for federal funding recommendations, programs and activities under the CDBG and HOME Investment Partnerships program.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* The City of Mckinney receives funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for Housing and Community Development activities through the CDBG and HOME programs. The 5-year Consolidated Plan is a planning document for the city. The 2025-2029 Consolidated Plan helps identify housing and community development needs and market conditions to make data-driven investment decisions. For each program year, the city develops a draft Annual Action Plan, which identifies the eligible projects and activities that will be funded, to implement the goals and priorities of the approved Consolidated Plan.
