RECOMMENDED ACTION:
* Approval of the Resolution.

ITEM SUMMARY:
* This resolution authorizes a professional services contract with Parkhill, Smith & Cooper, Inc. to provide planning and engineering services related to a feasibility study for a new multigenerational recreation center, for a contract amount of $144,850 and not to exceed $150,000.

* This study will include visioning, local recreation market analysis, community engagement, architectural programming, conceptual design, and development of a project budget and implementation timeline.

* The results of the study will provide the City with a clear framework to guide the future design and implementation of the recreation center.


BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* On January 20th Council approved the purchase of 111 acres on the east side of Lake Forest and north of Bloomdale. The intended uses of this site include a multigenerational recreation center, water pumping station, public works and other civic uses.
