ITEM SUMMARY:

 

                     On August 28, 2025, MCDC approved project grant 4B25-15 to Habitat for Humanity of Collin County in an amount of $305,000 for home repairs for low income residents in McKinney. Remaining balance on the grant is $282,000.

 

                     MCDC will consider a request from Habitat for Humanity of Collin County to reallocate funding originally itemized in Project 4B 25-15 as follows:

o                     $40,000 for cleanup and demolition at 611 Bumpas Street;

o                     $20,000 for Phase II of Cotton Groves design;

o                     $200,000 for project at 1304 Garcia Street; and

o                     $45,000 for project at 305 Lively Hill.

 

                     This request is to reallocate $45,000 from the project at 305 Lively Hill to the project at 1304 Garcia Street in order to maintain forward momentum on an active and priority project.

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

 

                     Habitat for Humanity of Collin County has been building homes for working low-income families since its incorporation in 1992.

                     HHCC serves a 24-city area in Collin County.

                     HFHCC utilizes a two-pronged initiative for low-income families: construction of new homes; and exterior home repairs.
