ITEM SUMMARY: 

                     The McKinney Community Concert Association is requesting $10,000 for the advertising, marketing and promotion of the 2026-2027 season which includes six unique productions.

                     Season tickets are $150, which brings the price of each show to $25 for season ticket holders. Early bird discount for the season is $135. Individual tickets are available at the door for $35.

                     Combined expected attendance is 4,200 with 50% from outside McKinney.

                     Request represents 33% of total promotional budget.

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: 

                     Mission and purpose of McKinney Community Concert Association (MCCA) is to build and maintain a concert audience in McKinney and surrounding communities by providing live performances by professional artists.

                     MCCA is a 501(c)3, nonprofit with an all-volunteer Board of Directors and no paid staff.

 

FINANCIAL SUMMARY: 

                     MCDC’s allocation for Promotional and Community Event grants for FY 26 is $250,000, with $125,470 remaining and available for Cycle II applicants.

                     MCDC awarded a Promotional and Community Event grant in FY 24 in an amount of $4,000 for the 2024 season.
