RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
• Approval of Resolution authorizing the City Manager to approve the revised City of McKinney Grant Policies and Procedures
ITEM SUMMARY:
• The City of McKinney’s Grant Policies and Procedures have been updated to comply with new federal grant requirements from the Federal Uniform Grant Guidance, which became effective on October 1, 2024.
• The City of McKinney’s Grant Policies and Procedures have also been updated to include new internal procedures that clarify staff roles and responsibilities and aim to improve communication and compliance.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• City Council last approved the Grant Policies and Procedures at its meeting on August 17, 2021.
