RECOMMENDED COMMISSION ACTION:
* Consider and deliberate on the FY 2025-2026 Consolidated Grant Applications

ITEM SUMMARY:
* Deliberation of the Community Grants Advisory Commission for the FY 2025-2026 Consolidated Grants Process. The Commissioners will provide funding recommendations to the McKinney City Council for consideration; thereafter, City Council will conduct the final public hearings in August and September 2025.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* The annual application process opened in February 2025. Interested applicants were able to attend two non-mandatory information sessions to learn how to apply for funding. The public was informed through notices, the city's website, the city's newsletters, and other mailings. Applicants had access to technical assistance for guidance and resources through April 2, 2025. The application deadline for agency submittal was April 3, 2025. Public hearings will be conducted on May 14 and May 15 at 6:30 PM each night in City Council Chambers, City Hall.
* The FY 2025-2026 Consolidated Grants Application process includes anticipated federal funding under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, and the HOME program; city-administered programs through the Housing and Community Development Department, and the Community Support Grant (CSG) Program. Under the CDBG Program, the city anticipates receiving an allocation from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for program year, October 1, 2025, to September 30, 2026.
