ITEM SUMMARY:
• This Resolution appoints Judge Stephen Feil as a contract Municipal Court Judge to support the Presiding Municipal Court Judge on a month-to-month basis beginning March 3,2026 and until an Associate Municipal Court Judge can be appointed, and the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a contract effectuating this Resolution.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• On January 29th, 2026, the Associate Municipal Court Judge submitted his resignation with an effective date of March 6th, 2026.
• This Resolution appoints a contract Municipal Court Judge as a supporting role during recruitment of the Associate Municipal Court Judge.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• The contract Municipal Court Judge will be compensated for as-needed services on a month-to-month basis beginning March 3,2026.
• Per the approved agreement; services will be paid for out of the General Fund.
