RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION: Elect a TIRZ2 Board Chair with a term effective January 1 to December 31, 2024.
ITEM SUMMARY:
• The TIRZ2 Bylaws, most recently amended by the adoption of City Council Ordinance No. 2017-01-011, states
“Each year the City Council shall annually designate one (1) member of the board to serve as chairman for one (1)-year term that begins on January 1 of the following year. The Board of Directors shall elect from its members a vice chairman to preside in the absence of the chairman or when there is a vacancy in the office of chairman. The Board of Directors may elect other officers as it considers appropriate.”
• On December 6, 2022, the City Council designated Charlie Philips to serve as TIRZ2 Chair for the calendar year 2023.
