* Staff recommends Council approve this Resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract and all necessary change orders with A&C Construction, Inc. of Irving, Texas for the construction of Towne Lake Phase 1C, which includes the Bob & Barbara Tomes Dog Park and Play Zone (PK4393) for a total contract amount not to exceed $7,900,000.
* Staff, along with LJA Engineering support, recommends awarding the construction bid to A&C Construction, Inc. in an amount of $7,512,590 along with a $387,410 contingency for a total not to exceed amount of $7,900,000.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* These proposed improvements will complete the Dog Park and Play Zone of the Towne Lake Master Plan, converting the land (46.64 acres) between the Senior Recreation Center and Grady Littlejohn Sports Complex into dedicated areas for large and small dog play spaces, each featuring an agility course and a centrally located dog splash pad.
