ITEM SUMMARY:
* The McKinney Philharmonic is requesting $15,000 for the advertising, marketing and promotion of the 2024-2025 Concert Series to include a minimum of seven performances.
* Dates for the Series are September 14, 2024 (Classical); October 5, 2024 (POPS); October 26, 2024 (Halloween); December 7, 2024 (Christmas); March 1, 2025 (POPS); April 5, 2025 (Beethoven); and May 25, 2025 (with Youth Orchestra)
* Performances draw attendees from across DFW. Goal is to grow the audience and the number of season concerts.
* Total attendance for all concerts combined in last season was about 8,500.
* Admission is $20-$25 ($15-$20 for seniors) depending on the show.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* Formed in Denton in 2012, the Odysseus Chamber Orchestra moved to McKinney in 2014 and is dedicated to deepening, strengthening, and broadening its relationship with the communities it serves through music.
* The organization produces high quality professional concerts and places importance on outreach and education programs that include summer music intensives, The Greater North Texas Youth Orchestra, The Young Artist Viola Competition, The Mentorship Program, The Side-By-Side Program and The Annual Concerts Tour.
