COUNCIL GOAL:                     Operational excellence; implement performance management practices that include developing and training staff and Board and Commission Members

RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:                     

                     Receive information on the Texas Statewide Preservation Plan, published in 2022.

 

ITEM SUMMARY: 

                     Staff will be facilitating an annual series of trainings on city services, programs, and best practices related to Historic Preservation programs.

                     Staff will offer training and/or retraining to board members on the use of the development tools available to the Board and the public. This month, staff will specifically address the Texas Statewide Preservation Plan. Published in 2022, the preservation plan is meant to guide the framework of Texas historic preservation for the next decade.
