BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• The North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) is planning the Stover Creek Force Main Pipeline, a 48-inch wastewater pipeline, to the Sister Grove Regional Water Resource Recovery Facility.
• This project will expand NTMWD’s wastewater conveyance capacity to meet the projected growth in McKinney and Prosper within the Stover Creek and Wilson Creek sub-basin north of US 380.
• NTMWD has determined it is necessary to acquire a 1.866-acre permanent sanitary sewer easement and a 2.975-acre temporary construction easement from the City.
• This item authorizes the sale, at fair market value, to the NTMWD of a water transmission sewer easement. The proposed easement property is described in two parts, consisting of 1) a 1.866-acre permanent sewer easement and 2) a 2.975-acre temporary construction easement for the NTMWD Stover Creek Force Main Project, generally located on the east side of FM 1461 and north of FM164.
