BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

The North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) is planning the Stover Creek Force Main Pipeline, a 48-inch wastewater pipeline, to the Sister Grove Regional Water Resource Recovery Facility.

This project will expand NTMWD’s wastewater conveyance capacity to meet the projected growth in McKinney and Prosper within the Stover Creek and Wilson Creek sub-basin north of US 380.

NTMWD has determined it is necessary to acquire a 1.866-acre permanent sanitary sewer easement and a 2.975-acre temporary construction easement from the City.

This item authorizes the sale, at fair market value, to the NTMWD of a water transmission sewer easement. The proposed easement property is described in two parts, consisting of 1) a 1.866-acre permanent sewer easement and 2) a 2.975-acre temporary construction easement for the NTMWD Stover Creek Force Main Project, generally located on the east side of FM 1461 and north of FM164.
