RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION: Approve nomination(s) by resolution.

ITEM SUMMARY:
* The governing body of each CCAD taxing unit may nominate up to two (2) candidates to be included on the election ballot.
* A written resolution, including the name and address of each nominee, must be submitted to the Chief Appraiser of Collin County on or before October 14, 2025.
* The Chief Appraiser will issue the official ballot by October 30, and each governing body must submit its vote by written resolution to the Chief Appraiser in accordance with the "Special Action" Tax Code Amendment.
* The results of the election will be counted and declared by December 30, 2025.
* The two (2) candidates receiving the largest cumulative vote totals will be elected to a four-year term, beginning January 1, 2026. Directors elected by CCAD taxing units through this process are defined as Appointed members.
* Current Board of Directors:
Appointed Directors - terms expiring on December 31, 2025; this process will determine the successor for these two (2) seats only:

Appointed Directors - terms expiring on December 31, 2027:
o Richard Grady, Secretary

Elected Directors - determined by majority vote at the general election for county officers by voters of Collin County, Texas:

o Place 3 - Andrew Cook
