RECOMMENDED ACTION:
* Recommend that City Council approve a resolution for design.

ITEM SUMMARY:
* This agenda item will authorize a professional services contract with Westwood to provide design and construction administration services for improvements to Rowlett Creek- South Park in a contract amount of $244,300 and not to exceed $255,000.00
* This proposed trail project will connect the existing Rowlett Creek trailhead on the north side of Stacy to newly acquired parkland on the south. This is a critical connection that will provide a continuous, grade separated pedestrian connection from this park. This trail is part of the Six City trail system that connects to the Collin County Trail system.

* The proposed project will provide connectivity and include amenities such as:

o Trail improvements
o Updated playground
o New site furnishings


BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

* In 2025, this project was awarded a $600,000 matching grant from the Collin County Open Space program.
