ITEM SUMMARY:
• The budget is based on an estimated 2.5% increase in sales tax revenue in FY27.
• Total anticipated revenue is $27.86 million from sales tax, interest and revenue from other sources.
• Total budgeted for community grants is $11.8 million including an allocation for future projects and commitments.
• Total included for debt service for Apex Centre and McKinney National Airport totals just over $3 million.
• $1 million is included in operating contingency.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• The FY 27 City of McKinney budget, including MCDC’s budget, will be adopted by City Council in September, with an effective date of October 1, 2026.
