RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approval of the Resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract in the amount of $422,420, as well as all required supplemental agreements thereto, with Alliance Geotechnical Group for geotechnical and materials testing services for the construction of the McKinney Soccer Complex Renovation Project (PK1906), for a total contract amount, inclusive of any supplemental agreements, not to exceed $450,000.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* A concurrent item is included on the Council Agenda recommending award of a construction contract for the McKinney Soccer Complex Renovation Project.
* Materials testing services will be required on the project to ensure construction materials used by the contractor meet or exceed City requirements.
* Alliance Geotechnical Group submitted a response to 24-13RFQ for On-call Miscellaneous Geotechnical and Materials Testing Services. Alliance was one of six firms shortlisted by City Council on March 5, 2024.
* Alliance Geotechnical Group has successfully performed in a similar capacity on numerous City projects.
